Who we are

ShiftChores is provided by [ShiftChores legal entity]. For the data businesses put into ShiftChores about their staff, the business is in charge of that data and we process it on its behalf. For our own customer and billing records, we are responsible.

What we collect

How we use it

To run the service for the business you work for: share out chores, show progress, run approvals, rewards and reports, send sign-in links and account emails, and keep the service secure. We don’t sell personal data or use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

Service providers that help us run ShiftChores, under contract: Microsoft Azure (hosting, email delivery and storage), Stripe (payments) and, if used, Cloudflare (bot protection on sign-up). If your business connects a scheduling system, ShiftChores exchanges schedule data with it. We may disclose data if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

While the business’s account is active, and up to [90] days after it ends, unless the business asks us to delete it sooner or the law requires us to keep it longer. Backups are kept for 14 days.

Your choices and rights

Employees should first contact their employer, who controls their work records. You can also ask us, at privacy@shiftchores.com, to access, correct or delete your personal data. When we remove someone, their sign-in is deleted and their past work records become anonymous.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Sign-in links work once and expire after 15 minutes. Sessions are kept in secure cookies that page scripts can’t read. Every organization’s data is kept separate, and ShiftChores staff access is limited, requires two-step sign-in, and is logged.
